Why do I need a subscription for my Aurotrap

Modified on Thu, 5 Jun at 10:47 AM

To use the full functionality of your Aurotrap system, an active subscription is required. A subscription gives you access to the Aurotrap Manager Portal, which provides the tools needed to operate, monitor, and manage your traps efficiently.

Subscriptions are only required for traps that have sent data at least once in a given month—a so-called heartbeat. This means you are only billed for traps that are actively in use. If a trap does not send a heartbeat, it will not be included in the monthly billing.

It's important to note that traps without an active subscription cannot strike and kill rodents. The subscription ensures that all active traps are monitored, maintained, and functioning as intended.

What You Get With a Subscription:

Aurotrap Manager Portal Access
Your subscription unlocks the Aurotrap Manager Portal. This is the central place to manage all your traps and customers.

Create and Manage Customers
In the portal, you can register new customers and assign traps to them. This makes it easier to organize service work and reporting.

Complete Trap Overview
Get a full view of every trap in your system. You can see where they are placed, their status, and any recent activity.

Monitor Battery, Signal, and CO₂ Levels
Stay ahead of issues by monitoring each trap’s battery life, signal strength, and CO₂ level directly in the portal.

Assign Traps to Colleagues
Traps can be assigned to specific team members to help with organization and task delegation.

Billing Module
The Manager includes a billing module that helps you track and organize subscriptions and customer billing information.

Reports
You can generate reports per customer or per trap. These reports show activity, usage, and trap history.

Notification Settings
Set custom alerts for specific events like low battery, CO2 or if a trap have failed to report in the last couple of days. These help you stay informed in real-time.

Pause Traps
If a trap needs to be taken temporarily out of service, you can set it to “Move to storage.” This keeps the data and trap assigned, without being able to track events, this will also cancel a traps billing period, if it has yet to have a heartbeat in a given month. You can also pause the trap in a given time frame, meaning that if you don't want a trap to strike on monday to friday between 06.00 - 18.00 then it can be customized fully for each given day.

Status and Event Logs
Each trap logs events like rodent kills, observations, service checks, and status changes. These are viewable under each trap’s details.
